Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a wireless communication technology that uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects, animals, or even people.

RFID is an alternative technology to barcode. It enables an ID to be read without requiring line of sight, and enables many items to be read in a single action. Passive readers can collect information as items pass within range.

But RFID is not for all applications. Tags are slightly more expensive than barcode labels, and some control is required to achieve high levels of readability. Click on the appropriate link for more information.
