SageData announces the launch of a wireless warehouse management system
- WHiPPET
Monday, December 11, 2000
The need for Warehouse Management
Systems (WMS) is rapidly increasing due to the phenomenal growth of
the e-business industry. Organizations are now demanding systems that
will provide them with higher efficiency and accuracy of their inventory
data. In today's business environment, the need to provide high-speed
product delivery means that the warehouse needs a real-time WMS. Real-time
data updates necessitates a wireless or a radio-frequency RF system
to control the stock going in and out of their warehouses.
WHiPPET is designed as a multi-module turnkey solution for distribution
and warehousing applications. Modules available include Electronic Pick
Lists, Inventory Control, Receiving/ Put-away/Issuing, Order Entry,
Set-up and Reports. The benefits of a wireless WMS system include greater
accuracy of inventory data, faster turnaround in inventory, ease of
use, elimination of duplicate data entry and real-time access to real
accurate data.
